Follow in the footsteps of Flavius as he journeys from a raw recruit to a Centurion respected and admired along the length of the Wall. Your walking guide has in depth knowledge of Roman life and uses the story of Flavius to explain the wall, its history and what life was really like for those that lived, loved and died here 2000 years ago.

A one day walk that takes in the best parts of Hadrian’s Wall, the longest sections of visible remains, the best milecastles, the most expansive views and finishes with a tour around Housesteads Roman Fort.

By the end of the day you will have a new understanding of the region, completed a spectacular walk and hopefully be able to imagine the area in Roman times, with towns, forts, horses, wagoneers and the ever present Hadrian’s Wall.

This walk includes transport to and from the Wall from Keswick, Carlisle and Penrith, your guide, photography, entry fees and a free photo CD.
